Olympic Silver Medallist Sindhu has defeated Japan's Nozomi Okuhara 21-7, 21-7 in the final of the BWF World Championship tournament and became the first Indian shuttler to win a gold at the event. Her mother P Vijaya has become elated and said they are very happy. Further, she said that they are waiting for that gold medal. This is the third time she was playing in the final, P Vijaya said. PV Sindhu's elder sister Divyaram Pusarla said she is feeling proud of Sindhu's achievement as she bagged her fifth medal and that being gold is amazing.
