PM Modi speaks to US President Trump over Kashmir issue

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to US President Donald Trump on regional and bilateral issues in a telephonic conversation for 30 minutes. He informed Trump that extreme rhetoric and incitement to anti-India violence by certain leaders in the region is not conducive to peace. Soon after speaking to Narendra Modi, the US President called Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan and urged him to ‘moderate rhetoric’ with India over the situation in Jammu and Kashmir in an effort to reduce tensions between the two nations.
