Varla Ramaiah responds to Botsa comments on capital region Amaravati

Andhra Pradesh municipal administration minister Botsa Satyanarayana has hinted at moving capital out of Amaravati. In a Press Meet, AP Minister said Amaravati is vulnerable to floods and added that building capital is a costly affair. Further, he defended his statement stating that the canals need to be created to mitigate floods. It needs an extra budget to invest in the creation of drains and separate water channels to prevent floods, AP Minister said. Reacting over Minister Botsa's comments, TDP senior leader Varla Ramaiah has alleged that he lacked proper knowledge on the issue and made it clear that shifting of the capital region is an impossible task after five years of the formation of the state capital.
