Jammu and Kashmir bifurcation bill passed in Lok Sabha
After Jammu and Kashmir bifurcation bill passed in Rajya Sabha yesterday, the same bill was tabled in Lok Sabha today. The same has been passed by means of the use of an automatic machine. Lok Sabha has witnessed 351 votes in favour of and 72 against it. One member was absent. Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh were among the ministers who have defended the government in the Lok Sabha. They responded to the questions raised by the opposition members.
