Serbia cops take Nimmagadda Prasad into custody on Interpol notice
Serbia cops took industrialist Nimmagadda Prasad into custody at Belgrade Airport on the notice of Interpol. Interpol put Prasad on watch list based on the complaint of Ras Al Khaimah (RAK). Prasad had entered into an agreement with RAK regarding Vadarevu and Nizampatnam Industrial Corridor (VANPIC). As part of the agreement, RAK transferred Rs 750 crore to Prasad through Mauritius companies. But, the deal was not materialised because of the CBI case. RAK has been asking Prasad to return back money and placed him under Interpol watch list. Efforts are on to release him through the intervention of the Indian government.
