Chandrayaan 2 Mission Launch

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has launched Chandrayaan 2 Mission at 2.43pm from the second launch pad at Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh, over 100km from Chennai. It has been launched atop a Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) MkIII, which is India's most powerful rocket. The 20-hour countdown for the launch began at 6.43pm Sunday. The ISRO has already streamed live about the launch of India's second Moon mission, across its social media platforms for the world to see.
