Cyclone Fani made landfall in Odisha’s Puri district on Friday morning with strong winds and heavy rainfall. The wind speed at the time of landfall was 195 kmph. More than 10 lakh people in Odisha were evacuated and moved to safer places. Almost 900 cyclone shelters have been made ready for people. Flight and train operations remain suspended.
