Two years after its launch, the government of India i.e the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has reportedly stopped printing Rs 2,000 currency notes. According to the reports, the government took the step in order to gradually stop their circulation as it is suspected that the currency notes are being used for hoarding, tax evasion, and money laundering. In November 2016 after demonetisation, Modi led by NDA government has introduced Rs 2,000 note to counter the massive cash shortage. Watch the video for more insight.
