Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will be inspecting Kaleshwaram Project on Tuesday. The project was taken up at an estimated cost of Rs 80,000 crore to provide water for irrigation purpose to 37 lakh acres. So far, the Telangana government has spent Rs 39,000 crore. The Chief Minister decided to visit Kaleshwaram Project personally as the next six months are very crucial. Even, KCR had conducted his first review meeting immediately after he came to power second time. He is keen on providing water to farming activities by June this year.
