Health Minister N Md Farooq has challenged MIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi to contest from Nandyal. Speaking to the media, the Minister said a party leader can contest from any constituency in India. He stated that the MIM chief will know about his popularity among Muslim minorities in Andhra Pradesh if he contests from Nandyal as Nandyal constituency has the highest Muslim population after Hyderabad in both Telugu states. He recalled that the MIM candidate had secured 4,000 votes when he contested for Nandyal MP seat in 2014.
