Farmers in Telangana are distressed over the trail of destruction left by heavy rains from the past two days, in the wake of Pethai cyclone. Paddy that was brought to the market yards is completely drenched. Crops have been destroyed in several areas. The farmers are urging the government to help them recover the losses. In Andhra Pradesh (AP), farmers facing the threat of cyclone want to harvest their crops as quickly as possible, but there is a shortage of labour and cutting machines.
