Uttam Kumar Reddy, who is contesting from Huzurnagar Assembly constituency in Suryapet district, has declared to resign for the TPCC chief post if he fails to win as MLA with a majority of 50,000 votes. As part of the election campaign, Uttam toured Huzurnagar and admitted several local TRS leaders and workers into the party. Addressing a meeting, the TPCC chief asked the TRS leaders how can they ask people for votes without fulfilling the previous election promises. In 2014 elections, Uttam won with a margin of 24,000 votes.
