AIADMK faces flak for covering statue of former CM Jayalalithaa with cloth

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister EK Palaniswamy and Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam have unveiled a new statue of the former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa at the party headquarters at Royapettah in Chennai. The AIADMK has been facing ire from a wider section of people for covering an old statue of former Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa with a cloth ahead of its unveiling. The old statue was installed during the 70th birth anniversary. It is alleged that old statue is not resembling with that of the former Chief Minister.
