The Trump government has assured corporate sector and lawmakers that it will seek feedback on ending work permits to H-4 visa holders. H-4 visa is granted to spouses of foreign workers, who are working in the US on H-1B visa. The move to end H-4 visas will make thousands of Indian women jobless. The US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will be rolling out a new proposal by January 2019. The new rules could impact up to 70,000 H-4 visa holders, mostly Indians.
