IMA opposes KTR’s decision to give recognition to RMPs
The Indian Medical Association of the Telangana state has opposed the decision of caretaker Minister K Taraka Rama Rao to give recognition for RMPs and PMPs to take up the medical practice. IMA President Pratap Reddy said that best students complete MBBS course and qualify as doctors and medical courses are regulated by the Medical Council of India. But, RMPs and PMPs are not well qualified compared to MBBS doctors, he stated. To a question, Pratap Reddy said services of RMPs and PMPs can be utilised in villages.
