Bathukamma, Bonalu enters Oxford dictionary! Jordar News

Oxford dictionary is the authority on words and phrases and their meanings in English. While hundreds of Indian words like 'curry' have found their place in the dictionary, the latest ones to join the list are surprisingly from our own Telangana. The names of two festivals that are representive of the state culture, Bathukamma and Bonalu, have now entered prestigious Oxford Dictionary. A letter to this effect has been sent to Telangana Jagruthi chief, Kavitha. She posted it and tweeted about the good news at the same time, thanking the authorities for it.
