US President Donald Trump has appointed Indian American Neil Chatterjee as Chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). The FERC makes decisions on the supply of electricity and interstate natural gas pipelines and facilities. Prior to the elevation, Neil Chatterjee was the member of the FERC. He was appointed in the place of Kevin McIntyre as he underwent surgery last year for brain cancer, said a letter posted on FERC’s website.
