Indian Army likely to downsize by 1.5 lakh troops
The Indian Army top brass is thinking about making functional changes and they are meeting today to discuss several long standing issues in Army. The
bosses of Indian Army want to make the world's second largest standing Army leaner and thinner. As a part of this decision, about 1.5 lakh might be cut away in the next five years in the process of restructuring the Army. The current strength of the Army is about 1.3 million personnel.
