The dead bodies of four school students, who drowned in Krishna river near Gudimeda of Tadepalligudem mandal in Guntur district, were fished out this afternoon. Police and National Disaster Relief Forces (NDRF) struggled since morning and brought out the four bodies. Seven students had come to see the floods in the river, when four of them entered it and drowned. Member of Parliament (MP) Galla Jayadev visited the spot and warned the people against entering the river waters. Locals however blamed the officials for not restricting illegal sand mining in the river, which has allegedly caused the tragedy.
