India is developing on a faster pace and at the same time poverty still exists in the country. But South Indian state govts are running canteens successfully with the intension to tackle hunger in Urban Areas. Amma Canteens in Tamilnadu, Anna canteens in AP, Indira canteens in Karnataka are a big success and stood idle to the other states. Hyderabad GHMC has been implementing Annapurna Scheme for the last 2 years and TDP's Anna Canteens are supplying food at Rs 5. Even Uttarakhand GHMC is also following the same.
