Anna varsity revaluation fraud: 16K students paid bribes to boost marks
Sleuths of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) have raided the examination branch of the Anna University in Chennai, Tamil Nadu and has unearthed a huge scam. As per the DVAC expose, thousands of students allegedly paid crores of rupees to boost their marks during the revaluation of answer scripts. The agency conducted a surprise check on the premises and seized numerous documents, including copies of answer scripts. The DVAC took Controller of Examinations and 9 other professors into custody. It is learnt that 16,000 students paid bribes to increase their marks.
