The fate of six students, feared drowned in a boat capsize at Pasuvulalanka village, in Godavari river, is yet unknown. Meanwhile, media persons who went there to cover the tragedy, discovered some shocking facts. Villagers of the islands in Godavari river, depend mainly on local boats for travelling to and fro mainland. Students of schools and colleges have no other means of travel. While they are risking their lives daily, the boats that are used in these waters are mostly unlicensed. Further, government efforts to make a bridge over the river is going on at snail's pace.
