Rains wreck havoc in AP; Paddy, prawns destroyed
Heavy rains in West Godavari district have damaged paddy sown in lakhs of acres. Rains have been lashing the district from the past one week, leaving the paddy farms submerged in water. Their investments and efforts have gone into the drain, farmers deplored. Similarly, prawns in aqua farms have died due to incessant rains, leading to heavy losses. Hamlets in Agency areas in Polavaram mandal in the district are marooned as the flood waters inundated these lowlying areas, causing inconveneince to residents.
