AP medical counselling halted as reserved students allege injustice
Dr. NTR University of Health authorities have stopped the second round of medical counselling, following the plea of some Backward Class (BC) students that injustice was being done to them. They demanded the revocation of G.O. 550, which ensures justice to BC students. There is a High Court (HC) stay on the G.O. since 2017, brought in by general category students, who said they were eligible for vacant seats under reserved categories. Now the government as well as BC students have appealed to the court to lift the stay.
