A portion of a three-storey building collapsed at Kurla area of Mumbai city, this morning. It has been raining incessantly in Mumbai since last night. Fortunately, there was no one in the building when the incident occurred, so there were no casualties, authorities said. Fire service and police arrived and began rescue operations. This is the third rain-related incident, eversince the monsoon rains began lashing Mumbai and other parts of Maharashtra. Earlier, a foot-over-bridge at Andheri railway station collapsed, injuring several people.
