Madras HC faults CBI, quashes 2 cases on Sekhar Reddy

Madras High Court has quashed the two cases filed by CBI on former TTD member Sekhar Reddy which were registered for possession of banned currency notes in large number. After demonetisation came into being in 2016, the CBI raided the houses of Sekhar Reddy and his two followers in Chennai and seized Rs 97 crore banned currency notes, Rs 34 crore cash and 127 kilos of gold from them and filed three cases. Sekhar Reddy challenged in the High Court for registering three cases for a single offence.
