Fugitive liquor baron Vijay Mallya has broken his two years of silence over the controversy surrounding him in the over Rs 9,000-crore Kingfisher Airlines loan default case. Vijay Mallya, who is wanted in India to face fraud allegations, made public a two-year-old letter written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In the letter, the 63-year-old embattled liquor tycoon said he was pained to have been projected as the poster boy of all bank defaults and also expressed his disappointment for making his case politically motivated.
