Harassed couple tweet to Sushma, get passports
A couple from Noida, Tanvi Seth and Annas Siddiqui, were in for a shock when an officer in-charge at the regional passport office asked them to change their name and religion to get their passports. While Siddiqui applied for renewal, Tanvi applied for a new passport. The agitated wife, in a series of tweets to Union minister Sushma Swaraj, urged her to look into the matter. The minister intervened and saw to it that the couple got their passports immediately. Also the officer in-charge was given a show cause notice and transferred.
