Phone tapping row; politics heats up between TDP, BJP
Politics is heating up between Andhra Pradesh (AP) Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over phone tapping issue. AP Planning Commission vice-chairman, Kutumba Rao charged the Centre of tapping phones of important leaders and officials of entire country. The telecom sector is under the Centre and they are misusing this facility, he said. He even charged the Centre of a bigger row, involving 2G scam and the Prime Minister (PM). Rajya Sabha member, G.V.L. Narasimha countered these allegations.
