Australian Siberian Cranes visit Malyala in Telangana
Siberain cranes (from Australia) visit Malyala village of Mahbubnagar district every year, in summer. The birds with long legs and beaks nest in trees and eat the worms and fish from the lakes nearby. The locals consider them as a good omen. Sometimes the birds die due to lack of water in the lake. Even cutting down of trees will affect these birds. The locals take care of the birds by giving them food and water. They are urging the authorities to develop the village as a tourist spot and protect the environment.
