Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president, Amit Shah addressed a press meet at Delhi today, the first after Yeddyurappa resigned as Karnataka chief minister, after he had no requisite numbers. He said that the party will play a construction opposition role in the Assembly. Congress party with a history of dismissing more then 50 governments by abusing Article 356 has no moral right to preach us on Democracy and Constitution, he said. It is the same party which banned the media during Emergency. BJP snatched 14 states from them, but they are celebrating its defeats in a few bypolls, he observed. The BJP will retain power with full majority in 2019, he added.
