Prof K Nageshwar said that the BJP had appointed Kanna Laxminarayana as the party state president due to lack of strong leaders in Andhra Pradesh. He stated that the BJP follows the strategy of attracting strong leaders from other parties and playing caste politics. Nageshwar gave an example of Assam, Tripura and Karnataka. He analysed Kanna’s appointment to attract votes of Kapu community. The Kapu voters will determine win or defeat of candidates in 40 Assembly constituencies. Nageshwar further said that the Kapus will not vote for the BJP just because of Kanna Laxminarayana.
