EPS-OPS lay stone for Amma Memorial at Marina Beach

Tamil Nadu (TN) Chief Minister (CM) Palaniswamy and deputy CM, Panneer Selvam laid foundation stone for Amma Memorial, that is coming up for late Jayalalitha, at Marina Beach. The ruling AIADMK government is allegedly spending Rs. 50.8 crore for the memorial. Meanwhile, the Opposition DMK is cricitising the government for the expenditure. It is not justified on the part of the government to splurge on a memorial, the DMK leaders said, especially at a time when farmers have been demanding subsidies and other benefits.
