The National Film Awards ceremony has found itself in the middle of controversy as 68 awardees are reportedly boycotting the awards ceremony, after they were informed that President Ramnath Kovind will be presenting awards to only 11 out of the total 120 recipients. This they learnt of in the last moment and decided to boycott. President Kovind however is disappointed because the protocol has him at the ceremony only for the last one hour. This was known to the Information and Broadcasting Ministry weeks ago, which neglected to inform the receipients until the last moment.
