Cambridge Analytica begins shutdown in US
Cambridge Analytica (CA) has begun shutting down its operations in the US after a huge uproar over misuse of Facebook data in the US elections. The CA filed insolvency petition with the officials concerned. The firm hired by Donald Trump presidential campaign had denied the allegations of exploiting the users of the Facebook for the electioneering. The Facebook admitted that information of 70 million users was misused by CA in the US elections. The CA claimed that it deleted the data of Facebook users which was obtained in a fraudulent manner.
