UK Home Secretary Amber Rudd has tendered her resignation to her post on Monday as opposition exerted pressure on her amid a scandal over mistreatment of Caribbean immigrants, who were staying in the UK for long-term as residents, by labelling them as illegal immigrants. The issue was highlighted by The Guardian newspaper. The report said some of the immigrants were denied medical care in the UK and threatened of deportation. Prime Minister Theresa May has accepted the Home Secretary resignation and will appoint a new Home Secretary soon.
