SBI Acts to Fill ATMs with Cash in State
State Bank of India (SBI) has begun the exercise of filling up the ATMs in Telangana. Nearly 48 per cent of the ATMs in the state had gone dry. SBI is coming forward to fill them, said the bank Chief General Manager, Swaminathan. With the permission of Reserve Bank of India (RBI), cash is being transported from Kochi, Mumbai, Chennai and Bubaneswar on an emergency basis, to Hyderabad. People in the state are facing severe problems due to the lack of cash in ATMs. Union minister Arun Jaitley had tweeted recently that the situation would be better within three days.
