Prof K Nageshwar said that the Assembly Speaker has every right to take a decision to keep the House in order. The Supreme Court in judgement related to a case in 2007 had made it clear that no courts can question the decision of the Speaker which he takes to ensure the smooth running of the Assembly. However, the courts can question if the House is willing to take an irrational decision against a member. Nageshwar stated that there are instances of the Speaker suspending unruly MLAs for two years.
