A special court in Mumbai has issued non-bailable warrants against diamond traders Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi in the alleged Rs 12,700 crore Punjab National Bank scam. The Enforcement Directorate (ED), which has been probing the bank fraud cases registered against them since last month, has filed a petition in the Court alleging that they are not co-operating with the probe. They also stated in the complaint that they asked them to appear before the central agency, but they did not turn up. As both the accused had failed to appear before the ED, the court has issued non-bailable warrants against them.
