Centre to introduce delimitation Bill to increase Assmbly seats in Telugu states
Union Government is planning to introduce a delimitation Bill seeking to increase Assembly seats in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, according to a political source. It is learned that PMO directed the Home Ministry in this regard. A Central Cabinet note has already been prepared in this regard. Home Ministry, after receiving directions from PMO, wrote a letter to Election Commission. In the letter, Home Ministry requested the EC over taking population census of 2001 or 2011. If all goes well, AP Assembly is going to have 225 and Telangana 151 MLAs. Watch the video for more info.
