Lalu gets 3 and half years jail in fodder scam case
In a significant development, CBI Ranchi Court had pronounced sentence of three and half years rigorous imprisonment to former Central Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav in connection with fodder scam. The Court also imposed a fine of Rs 5 lakh. The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief and 15 others were found guilty in the case relating to the multi-million-rupee fodder scam. The case is related to the fraudulent withdrawal of Rs 84.5 lakh from the Deoghar district treasury in Bihar between 1990 and 1994. Meanwhile, his son said they had faith in the judiciary.
