Koganti Satyam is chairman of Kamakshi Steels Private Ltd. and a well-known industrialist in Vijayawada. He was arrested way back in 2013, when he allegedly manhandled one of his company directors Srinivas Rao, on the premises of a private bank. He was again arrested in 2016, allegedly at the behest of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) legislator, Bonda Uma. Both Satyam and Bonda Uma locked horns over the installation of a 72-ft high Ganesh idol by the former. Several prominent lawyers, including Sunkara Rajendra Prasad had condemned the arrest at that point of time. Watch Mukha Mukhi on TV9 at 6:25 p.m. on Sunday.
