There is shortage of coins everywhere and as a result in stead of giving change of Rs 1 or 2, chocolates have been given in many shops with which people are getting vexed. To cope with the problem, RBI officers came forward with coins in Tirupati and exchanged them for notes. Many people utilised the opportunity and took away coins while giving notes. Tirupati people expressed happiness over the gesture of RBI and requested banks to arrange ATM like machines for coins. Local Andhra Bank manager responding to this said they have coins worth Rs 9 crores and people can utilise the opportunity and collect coins at their SV University branch.
