Siddaramaiah orders probe in to bribery charges against Sasikala
Karnataka Chief Minister (CM) Siddaramaiah ordered an inquiry into the bribery charges against AIADMK general secretary, Sasikala, who is lodged in Parappana Agraharam jail, in Bengaluru. An ex-IAS officer, Vinay Kumar will lead the inquiry. The probe panel will look deeply into all the allegations made in Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Rupa Mudgal's report. It is alleged that Sasikala paid Rs. 2 cr. to the jail authorities, for enjoying VVIP facilities. Sasikala is put up in this jail over a Disproportionate Assets (DA) case.
