Chana, Chana Dal, latest entries in Oxford dictionary

Chana (chickpeas) and Chana Dal (split chickpea lentils) are among 600 new words added to Oxford English dictionary. The authorities considered these words popular enough among a huge section of the world. The revised edition this year came in to effect from June 27th. Several other words, covering a vast area of knowledge have also been included. They include tennis-related words like "forced error" and "bagel." Indian words in Hindi are not new to Oxford English dictionary. Words such as 'bungalow' for bangla (building) and Juggernaut (chaos) for 'Jagannath Rath,' have been added long back.
