Andhra Pradesh (AP) government has released Godavari waters for the first time in to Krishna river, through the prestigious Pattiseema project, this season. Water level in Godavari river has risen, owing to rains in the upper reaches of the river. The level has come up to 16 mts. The water has been lifted via Pattiseema and released in to Polavaram right canal. Over 3,000 cusecs of water has been released through the nine pumps of Pattiseema. Owing to the abundance of water stored this season, at least 70 tmc of water will be released to Krishna.
