AP DGP speaks to media on Vizag Land Scam

Andhra Pradesh A(P) Director General of Police (DGP) Sambasiva Rao revealed that Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Vizag land scam will begin functioning tentatively, from tomorrow. He disclosed the details of the tampering of Rights of Records (ROR) and 1B records, in Visakhapatnam Revenue Division. Some 25 records were tampered and nearly 30 people are involved, he said. The land scam came to light, when Collector Praveen Kumar and his team were digitising the land records and reviewed old records in the process. They found that the names had changed. The collector has set up a call centre where anyone who has evidence, can approach.
