Union minister Arun Jaitley has strongly condemned the remarks made by South Indian actor and film-maker, Kamal Haasan, that Goods and Services Taxes (GST) of 28 per cent is too much for South Indian film-makers to pay and he would quit in this case. Jaitley said that the present average entertainment tax across the country is 29.1 per cent, whereas GST has been fixed at 28 per cent. He slammed Kamal for using the media to blackmail the government. GST Council will accept any representation for resolution, he informed.
