According to the reports, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar and ace badminton player Saina Nehwal were threatened by Naxals for helping the families of 12 CRPF jawans who were killed in an attack on 11th March in Chhattisgarh. A Pamphlet issued by CPI (Maoist) have faulted the celebs for siding with Indian Army and condemned the gestures of them. Akshay had donated Rs 9 lakh each to the accounts of the dependents of the 12 jawans killed in Sukma ambush while Saina had donated Rs 50,000 each to families of victims. The Maoists said the celebrities should refrain from supporting security personnel and claimed the jawans were punished in Sukma for their exploitation of the local population.
