Mango farmers are on a flash strike at Kothapeta Market Yard in Hyderabad, since last night. The officials had barred their vehicles from entering the market, as some of them were using carbide to ripen the mangoes. The use of carbide has been banned in Telangana. Meanwhile, minister Jupally Krishna Rao is talking to farmers' representatives, even as hundreds of truck loads of mangoes are stranded at the market, without unloading. The farmers said that they are not even getting remunerative price and if the lorries are not unloaded today, they will face a loss as the fruits will get spoilt.
